Mark Wood

Mark James Wood began performing professionally at the age of eleven and

has virtually grown up on stage. With a repertoire of over 2500 songs, he covers a wide range of popular music styles including Pop, Country, Rock and Standards. He has been featured in two thirty-minute television specials on PBS, performing original music from two of his CDs, The Lessons of Life and Now That You’re Gone.

Mark’s guitar playing has been compared with the virtuosity of Leo Kotke and Jimmy Page and his work on the piano adds a unique dimension to his performance that is reminiscent of early Elton John and Billy Joel. With a four octave vocal range and an incredible gift for recreating a variety of singing styles, Mark amazes, as well as entertains his audiences.
